Just when all ears have been put to the ground in expectation of the musician’s revelation, he pulls out of the battle.
Musician and sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A-Plus, has said he never accused the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff of taking bribes, although he branded the appointees as “corrupt and thieves.”
The outspoken musician made this revelation barely 24 hours before the date set for him to provide evidence to back his wild corruption claims against the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff.
A Plus Has No Evidence to Back Supposed Asenso-Boakye Bribery Allegations
Kwame A Plus says he has no evidence that the two received a bribe in any form and that he never stated they had taken bribes.
Speaking on Accra based Okay FM, Kwame A plus said that people misunderstood him when he accused the two of being corrupt. He also said that the media has deliberately twisted the narrative to paint a different picture.

According to the musician, “people don’t get your explanation when you talk about corruption. Corruption does not only mean that the person has taken a bribe”. He pointed out that contrary to people’s perception of corruption, the two have never taken bribes anywhere.
A Plus earlier accused Nana Addo’s two Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Abu Jinapor and Francis Asenso-Boakye of corruption and described them as ‘arrogant fools’.
Kwame A Plus had taken to Facebook to accuse President Akufo-Addo’s two Deputy Chiefs of Staff, of being corrupt, a move which subsequently brought about a war of words between the stakeholders.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye who would not keep mute while he’s wrongly accused, rejected the claims describing them as unsubstantiated.

It later emerged that the supposed A-Plus’ Asenso-Boakye bribery allegations stemmed from his desire to get an extra contract aside a $3m BOST deal he was given under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
Following the massive backlash directed at the musician, Kwame A Plus apologized for his actions. Though he maintained his stands on the claims, A Plus apologized to President Nana Addo for using the wrong platform to express his concerns.
He had also said he’ll provide the CID with evidence to back his corruption claims against the duo; when called upon. But it seems the CID will not be receiving any evidence from the musician.
