Dr. Opuni Frimpong alleged that politicians of all classes in the country are the same
Going by the logic and analysis of the General Secretary of Christian Council of Ghana, Reverend Dr. Opuni Frimpong one can also conclude that every religious leader likewise politicians are corrupt, Deputy General Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has stated.
“I know a pastor who is duping church members, sleeping with married woman, accusing people of practicing witchcraft and so on” the outspoken General Secretary alleged.
“However, there are some pastors who are also good and it will be right to conclude that all pastors are bad per the logic of Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong”, he compared and contrasted.
Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong has alleged that politicians of all classes in the country are the same and therefore fit to be described as potential criminals because they are always involved in all forms of crime including embezzling state funds.
“They (politicians) are members of our various churches who steal, insult and can kill. We should pray for them “, the clergy is quoted to have stated.
But Nana Obiri Boahen has stated Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong got everything wrong for holding the perception that crime committed by individual members is total reflection of entire membership of a political party.
“The problem we have in this country is that we do not single out individuals and punish them. I disagree that every politician insults, is corrupt and kills”, he vehemently defended.
