An Accra District Court has rejected an application for the discharge of six of the accused persons standing trial for the murder of military officer Major Maxwell Mahama.
The Court presided over by Worlanyo Kotoku on Tuesday maintained that Attorney General, who acted in the absence of the lawyer for the accused, needed to come with a written application.
The Attorney General had made oral application for discharge due to inadequate evidence to charge the six.
They are Yaw Annor, Philip Badu, Kwame Adjei, Solomon Sackey, Vivian Asahene and Anthony Amoah.
