The Deputy Minister for Health, Tina Mensah, has assured unposted Allied Health Professionals that the ministry is working on their financial clearance which will be ready in a week’s time.
Briefing the angry health professionals at the premises of the Ministry of Health where they were picketing, the deputy minister mentioned that the Ministry will expedite the necessary processes and keep to its promise by ensuring that they meet the one week deadline.
Hundreds of unposted Allied Health Professionals are currently picketing at the premises of the Ministry of Health to put pressure on government to employ them immediately.
Leader of the group, Yeboah Solomon, told Atinkaonline that several meetings with the Health Ministry in the last nine months had yielded no positive response hence the picketing.
According to him, just like their colleagues, (Coalition of unemployed bonded Diploma Nurses) who were recently given financial clearance after several protests, they (Allied Professionals) also deserved to be employed by government .
