Ghana winger Albert Adomah continued his superb form for Aston Villa by registering an assist before hitting the back of the net as they defeated Burton Albion 3-2 at the Villa Park on Saturday.
The Villans opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Scott Hogan after latching onto Albert Adomah’s through ball.
Adomah, who provided the assist for the first goal of the game, registered his name on the score sheet in the 65th minute from close range.
The visitors were handed a lifeline in the 78th minute when Ahmed Elmohammady put the ball at the back of his own net to reduce the deficit.
But Jack Grealish restored Villa’s cushioning with a 88th minute strike before Liam Boyce pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 92nd minute as the match ended 3-2 in Aston Villa’s favour.
By virtue of the win, Aston Villa moves to 3rd on the log with 56 points after 30 games.
