After being rejected on March 7, 2017, Felicia Aba Hagan has become second-time lucky by being endorsed as Chief Executive of Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District on Tuesday.
She polled 40 out of 44 votes – representing 99 per cent – to finally get endorsed.
A former Presiding Member of the Assembly, Ms Aba Hagan expressed gratitude to the assembly members and the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Traditional Council for the honour done her.
Speaking in an interview with Onua 95.1 FM’s Central Region correspondent Kwame Kakarba, Ms Aba Hagan pledged to work closely with the Council in developing the district.
She said she cannot do the work alone and will need all hands on deck in order to deliver.
Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency Elvis Donkoh pledged to support and work with the new DCE for the development of the district.
Among dignitaries present at Tuesday’s voting were Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Deputy Central Regional Minister Adjei Baffoe, Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman Robert Kutin Jnr, Acting Regional Secretary Takyie Mensah.
