President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has handed over two more petitions against two commissioners at the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) to the Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo, for action.
This is in accordance with Article 146(3) of the 1992 Constitution.
The petitions against Georgina Opoku-Amankwaah and Dr Amadu Sulley were filed by Emmanuel Korsi Senyo, a “Concerned Citizen of Ghana”, on Tuesday.
He is demanding the impeachment of the two commissioners.
This comes in the wake of an earlier petition filed by Concerned Workers of the Electoral Commission, demanding the removal of Charlotte Osei as Chair of the Commission.

President Akufo-Addo referred that petition to Chief Justice Akuffo on Wednesday.
The two commissioners have traded media exchanges with Mrs Osei after the latter cited them in her response to investigations by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
