Akufo-Addo Doubts Campaign Promises – Every successful leader gets scared at some point, and it’s not a bad thing too. President Nana Addo has continued to show that he is a man who not only believes but fears God.
The President who has fulfilled some of the promises he made prior to the elections has stated that he will rely on God for direction and guidance throughout his tenure.

The President made these comments while delivering an address at a Church Service held at the Black Star Square to climax the Centenary Celebration of the Christ Apostolic Church International (CAC).
Nana Addo also made it clear that he will never compromise his belief in his quest to transform and modernize the Country. He also asked to remember him in prayers for God’s Grace to abound towards him and his government as they steer the affairs of the Republic.
This act of subtle fear was also exhibited by the President when he spoke at the 2017 Blomberg Africa Business Media Innovators Summit in Accra on Monday, November 13, 2017.
Nana Addo who acknowledged the tasking nature of his very many promises doubted his ability to fulfill all before the end of his four-year term.
Though he stressed on the importance of his policies to the growth of the nation, he was quick to speak about his fear which is that the four years may be too short to completely realize that dream.
According to him, his 4-year-tenure gives him little time to achieve all the ambitious campaign promises.
However, the President said that his government is putting in a lot of efforts to build a robust economy by creating jobs through the agriculture sector under the Planting for Food and Jobs programme among others.
Free SHS – This was the NPP’s flagship promise ahead of the 2016 elections -free education for all students in Senior High Schools across the country. The policy which also included free books, lunch, was executed in September.
Scrapped Taxes – The NPP government also scrapped some “nuisance taxes” just as was promised.
However the very popular One district One factory is yet to be implemented. Others yet to be implemented include the creation of the Office of the Special Prosecutor, reduction in electricity tariff, the creation of five regions among others.
