An Accra High Court has dismissed an application for a review of bail conditions filed by lawyer for Chinese galamsey kingpin Aisha Huang.
According to the court, presided over by Justice Charles Edward Ebow Baiden, the accused did not tender compelling evidence for the bail variation to be granted.
Aisha Huang, 31, is standing trial for her alleged involvement in illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.
She is standing trial together with four others.
They were granted bail on Friday, June 2, 2017.
As part of the bail conditions, all the accused persons are to report twice a week to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) or the Director of Immigration in Accra or their representatives, in writing.
They were also ordered to hand over their passports to the registrar of the court to be sent to the Director of Immigration or the IGP.
