Aburi Girls, Archbishop Porter Girls and Ghana National College have made it to the quarter-finals of the National Science & Maths Quiz and will face each other.
These three teams, by virtue of their progress, will be seeded for the 2018 competition.
Aburi Girls beat Kumasi Academy and SDA SHS, Bekwai, two Ashanti based schools, in the second in series of the one-eighth stage of the competition.
Aburi Girls lost their preliminary contest but qualified to the one-eighth stage as one of the 18 highest scoring losing schools.
Ghana National College beat Armed Forces SHTS and Osei Kyeretwie SHS, their contenders, in the first in series of the one-eighth stage of the competition at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS triumphed in their contest over Kintampo SHS and Tema Secondary School.
27 schools in all are expected to qualify for the quarter-finals stage.
