Fans were impressed beyond expectations, at the performance of young and uprising actor, Abraham Attah in Hollywood’s new movie, Spider-Man Homecoming.
Spider-Man Homecoming, a movie by Sony-Marvel was premiered in Ghana on Friday, 7th July, 2017. Scores of Ghanaians thronged the Silverbird Cinema located inside the West Hills Mall to have a first glimpse of the movie, as well as see the exploits of their young countryman, Abraham Attah in the much-talked-about film.

Several patrons who spoke to the media after the event expressed great excitement and appreciation of the young Attah, who became the first ever core Ghanaian to make it to the much sought-after screens of Hollywood, after starring in Netflix’s ‘Beasts of No Nation’.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is an American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character, Spider-Man. The film was produced by Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures, and distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
In Spider-Man: Homecoming, young Peter Parker, thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, tries to balance his life as a high school student while also being the hero Spider-Man.
It is intended to be the second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise and the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The film which was directed by Jon Watts, with a screenplay by John Francis Daley & Jonathan M. Goldstein, stars Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, Michael Keaton, Hannibal Buress, and Robert Downey Jr.
Abraham Attah played the role of young Miles Morales in the movie.
The 16-year-old actor was at the premiere of the movie held at TCL Chinese Theatre in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles on June 28, 2017.
Abraham Attah came to the limelight of the global movie industry after he starred in Netflix’s 2015 film, ‘Beasts of No Nation’, alongside famous Hollywood actor, Idris Elba. His role as child soldier, Agu in the movie has since earned him numerous awards both locally and internationally.
The awards he has so far bagged include: Best Young Actor at the Venice film festival’s Marcello Mastroianni Awards, the Black Film Critics Rising Star Award, Best Breakthrough Performance at the National Board of Review Award, Best Male Lead at the 31st Film Independent Spirit Awards, Best Actor at Tacoma Film Festival, two awards at the Ghana Movie Awards, NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture, and the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer.
After his role in ‘Beasts of No Nation, Abraham Attah has featured in a short film, ‘Out of the Village’. He was also attached to feature alongside Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves, Daniel Radcliffe, Chloe Grace Moretz, Holland, Asa Butterfield and Jeff Goldblum, in Shane Carruth’s drama “The Modern Ocean,” which was unveiled last November during the American Film Market.
He was also privileged to present an award at the 88th Annual Academy Awards (2016 Oscars) in Los Angeles alongside Canadian child actor, Jacob Tremblay.
Abraham Attah is currently studying on a Netflix scholarship and finished with a G. P.A of 4.0 at the end of his first year in the American school.
