The sectors to absorb them include agriculture and agro business, education support, National Service Secretariat support, business services, community health, rural development, administrative support, urban traffic, and urban sanitation.
Meanwhile two thousand one hundred and sixty (2,160) personnel have been deployed to the various regions to assist in government’s agenda of planting for food and jobs.
The breakdown is as follows:
A total of 91,871 service persons have been deployed.
76,980 have been posted to the public sector representing 84% whiles 14,963 have been posted to the private sector representing 16.30%
Authorities of the scheme indicated that the trend in the regional distribution has not seen much change as the Greater Accra and the Ashanti regions continue to receive high posting requests with the Upper East and West regions recorded the lowest requests.
The Greater Accra region alone received 29,647 personnel with the Upper West receiving 1,657 personnel.
From Friday July 7, personnel could access their places of postings through an SMS short code system by texting *714*77 on MTN, Aitel, Tigo and Vodafone.
