Atlanta hip hop trio Migos have achieved their first ever Billboard number one after sales and streams of Bad and Boujee soared following Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino’s praise for them at the Golden Globes.
Glover called the Georgian rappers “the Beatles of this generation”, after picking up the best comedy series award for his FX show Atlanta.
The prolific actor and musician said the track was “just fly” and over-shared that it was his favourite song to have sex to – TMI Donald, TMI.
There’s a lot of bad language in that track from the get-go so we can’t bring it to you here but you can find it on that YouTube easily enough.
Glover said: “I’d like to thank the Migos – not for being on the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.
“I think that they’re the Beatles of this generation and they don’t get a lot of respect, I think, outside of Atlanta.
Not that they don’t get respect, but there’s a generation, sort of like the YouTube generation that I kind of came up with. There’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that’s completely separate from a whole group of people.”
