“Why are both of you ignoring the national debt problem?” moderator asks.
“We’re bringing it from 1% up to 4%,” Trump says about the GDP.
“It’s very sad,” he says about foreign manufacturers who are “taking American jobs”.
He promises to create a “tremendous economic machine”.
He will execute this by “taking back jobs” and utilising business leaders, who are the “greatest negotiators in the world”, instead of political hacks.
Clinton says: “When I hear Donald talk like that and I hear his slogan, ‘make America great again’, I think when did he think America was great?”
She attacks Trump for an ad in which he criticised former President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s.
“I pay for everything I’m proposing, I do not add to the national debt,” she says.
“We’ve gotta get back to rebuilding the middle class – the families of America – that’s where growth will come from.”
