Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has conceded possession 50 times through poor touches this season – more than any other Premier League player.
The France international returned to Old Trafford having spent four years with Serie A giants Juventus, winning four successive Scudettos, and struggled to live up to the world-record transfer fee paid by the Red Devils in August.
Only goalkeeper David De Gea has played more minutes than the 23-year-old in the Premier League for United this season, while the Frenchman has also made six appearances in the Europa League so far.
Jose Mourinho’s reliance on the commanding midfielder has seen him settle into the Portuguese’s side and Pogba was key in United’s 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Wednesday, scoring one and assisting the other.
The Premier League joint-top scorers are close behind Pogba in the unsuccessful touches department, with Chelsea’s Diego Costa registering 48 and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez 43.
The aforementioned duo have both scored 12 goals for their respective clubs, with the Blues topping the Premier League pile after 10 wins in a row. Arsenal, who lost at Everton on Tuesday evening, sit six points behind in third.
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been dispossessed the most number of times – 55 in 15 appearances – though is the only player in the English top tier to register over 100 attempted dribbles – 115.
