Selena Gomez returned to social media Thursday (Nov. 24) after nearly three months of silence. The pop singer took some time out on Thanksgiving to reflect on what she’s thankful for.
“I have a lot to be thankful for this year,” she captioned an Instagram photo of herself posing with fans. “My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I’ve finally fought the fight of not ‘being enough.'”
Gomez made her first public appearance at the recent American Music Awards since seeking professional treatment for health-related issues. In August, in the midst of her Revival World Tour, the singer announced that she’d be taking time off. The tour was scheduled to wrap in mid-December.
“I think it’s safe to say that a lot of you know a lot of my life whether I liked it or not and I had to stop,” Gomez said during her AMAs speech on Nov. 20. “Because I had everything, and I was absolutely broken. And I kept it together and I swore I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down.”
In her Instagram post Thursday, Gomez took time to thank fans for their support over the years.
“I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU,” she wrote. “By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless.”
