Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had no complaints after his team were held to a 0-0 draw in Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Huddersfield.
The draw leaves City with a replay to deal with at the Etihad Stadium on the 28th, while they also face a Champions League Round of 16 meeting with Monaco on Tuesday.
“When you play against teams in the Championship who are at the top of the league, it’s always difficult,” Guardiola said after the match.
“They had good spirit but the players did absolutely everything and when that happens I have no complaints.”
“It was a cup game against one of the best teams in the Championship and we know how difficult it is to play teams in the Championship away, in this stadium where a rugby game was played two days ago.
“They are a really, really good team but we put in a good performance, especially in the first half when we created many chances to score a goal and the goalkeeper was brilliant. In the second half we maybe played a bit better but didn’t create too many chances.”
