The Always Ultra which sells for N250 has now increased N400.
The reason for the price hike can be traced to recent inflation in prices of commodities and the dollar-naira exchange rate hike.
DIVA which is the most affordable brand of sanitary pads now goes for 230 naira at the market as against the initial price of 180 naira.
Below is the new scheme of prices: Everyday brand of sanitary pads used to sell for N150, now it sells for N260.
Always Ultra used to sell for N250, now it sells for about N400. Always Classic which sells for N200 now goes for about N300.
The DIVA brand used to sell for N180 and now it has risen to N230. Among the popular brands Lady care which used to sell for N250, now sells for N400.
Some tampon brands, which used to sell for N750, now go for N1100.
