A lorry has ploughed into a crowd of people gathering at a Christmas market in the German capital of Berlin, local media reported.
The Berlin-based Bild newspaper said at least one person was killed, quoting police, and there were multiple casualties from Monday’s incident.
Photos and video posted to social media showed rescue worked at the scene of the incident, where the lorry had eventually stopped.
One user, Emma Rushton , said that people were “crushed”, and that the lorry had been “going too fast” at around 40 miles per hour.
