After Arsenal’s emphatic win at Sunderland this afternoon, Arsene Wenger has expressed in a post-match interview how huge and important a win it is for the London side. His side showed great character to bounce back from Jermain Defoe’s equaliser to score three goals in six minutes for a 4-1 victory at Sunderland.
Wenger showed his usual sense of humility as he heaped all praises to his quality of players on bench and not because he’s a “special manager” as people would put it. “You do not need to be a special manager to make these kinds of decisions when you have quality players on the bench”, Wenger says.
According to the Frenchman, it was important to win this game to keep up their level after their draw at home against Middlesbrough which he described as disappointing.
