Egypt rallied from a goal down to beat hosts Congo Brazzaville in Kintele 2-1 and take charge of Group E in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Forey Dore gave the host the lead after 24 minutes but goals from Mohamed Salah and Abdullah Said ensured the Pharaohs left with maximum points.
Salah’s equaliser arrived four minutes to half time while Said’s winner came in the 58th minute.
The win by Hector Cuper’s men away from home mean they top group E with 3 points, two more than Uganda and Ghana who drew goalless on Friday while Congo are now bottom.
Action will resume on November 7 when Uganda play hosts to Congo at Mandela National stadium, Namboole while Egypt will host Ghana in Cairo.
