Corinthians have pulled out all the stops in an effort to get Didier Drogba to write the next chapter of his career in Brazil.
The Ivorian frontman is currently a free agent after parting company with Montreal Impact at the end of the 2016 MLS season.
Several options have been mooted for the former Chelsea striker, including a return to Marseille.
Corinthians however, have put the most effort into trying to woo Drogba.
They are looking for a high-profile star to join their ranks and have worked hard on the marketing side to put the finances in place that would allow them to land a global icon.
The terms being offered are now with Drogba, with the 38-year-old having plenty to mull over.
A monthly salary of $120,000 is dwarfed by the money currently being thrown around in China, but it is the extras that will have caught Drogba’s eye.
He will be given an armoured SUV for getting around Sao Paulo, a full-time translator and six executive cabin tickets for returning to Europe whenever he wants to visit old friends.
Drogba will also be financially rewarded if he tops the scoring charts in the Paulista Championship or Brazilian Championship, with Corinthians looking for him to become a talismanic figure.
A decision will be made shortly, with both sides eager to know where they stand as they plan for the future.
