Daniel Hanslik is rumoured to be the next young player to sign for the Gunners after posting a photo online of him at the team’s training ground
German forward Daniel Hanslik has sparked rumours of a trial with Arsenal after he was photographed with Gunners duo Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi.
The 20-year-old has scored 14 goals and added five assists in 20 appearances for SV Steinbach so far this season, attracting interest from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
Man Utd set new 22-year low
Dortmund brought in the youngster on trial last month, but Arsenal look to have entered the race to sign Hanslik after he posted a photo on his private Instagram page with Germany internationals Ozil and Mustafi at Arsenal’s training centre in London Colney.
Mustafi and Hanslik are both from the East Hesse region, where the 20-year-old plies his trade in the Hessenliga, the fifth tier of German football.
Hanslik is represented by his father Kutjim, who told ON Sport that they “agreed not to deliver information” on whether the 20-year-old was on trial with the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger’s side currently has a large number of young prospects on its books, with 20 players on loan deals for the rest of the season, gaining experience away from the club.
According to German media, Hanslik is expected to remain at Steinbach for the rest of the season before moving to a bigger club in the summer.
