Iker Casillas was the hero for Porto on Saturday, rolling back the years with a stunning save in the 93rd minute to preserve a 2-1 victory over Sporting in a top-of-the-table Portuguese clash.
The visitors had a chance to grab a late equaliser, winning a corner that Sebastian Coates headed powerfully towards goal.
It seemed destined to go in, but a diving Casillas somehow clawed it off the line at full stretch to deny Sporting and ensure Porto remain top in Portugal.
Speaking after the game, Sporting coach Jorge Jesus revealed what he had said to his goalkeeper after his heroics.
“I told Iker Casillas that he won the game,” he told Sport TV.
Porto took a 2-0 lead through two goals from Tiquinho before Alan Ruiz grabbed one back from the visitors with half an hour left to play.
