The All Blacks secured the signatures of young stars Anton Lienert-Brown and Nathan Harris Monday, saying they were a big part of the world champion team’s future plans.
New Zealand Rugby general manager Neil Sorensen said he was “over the moon” about retaining Lienert-Brown, 22, and Harris, 25.
“They are two players, along with others, that the future success of New Zealand Rugby will be built on,” he said.
Lienert-Brown has signed until 2020 and Harris until 2019.
They will both remain with the Waikato Chiefs Super Rugby team.
Lienert-Brown has become an integral part of the All Blacks’ midfield since making his debut last year, playing in nine Test matches.
Injury has limited Harris to just four Test appearances since his 2014 debut, but the hooker is looking for an extended period back in the game after returning from a knee operation.
