The International Olympic Committee Evaluation Commission has rescheduled a visit to Los Angeles to assess the city’s bid for the 2024 Games, LA 2024 officials confirmed Wednesday.
The IOC panel had initially planned to visit Los Angeles from April 23-25 to inspect the city’s bid.
However, an LA 2024 spokesman confirmed the visit had now been fixed for May 10-12, dates initially set aside for a visit to Budapest.
The Hungarian capital withdrew from the Olympic race on February 22, leaving only Los Angeles and Paris in the running for the 2024 Games.
The IOC Evaluation Commission will visit Paris immediately after the Los Angeles trip before publishing a final report on the respective bids which will be issued to all IOC members.
The commission will gather information on key areas such as transport, venues, finance and sustainability before compiling its report.
The IOC commission faces upheaval after its head, Frankie Fredericks, was forced to resign this week amid a probe into corruption claims.
Former sprint star Fredericks, 49, has denied wrongdoing over reports he accepted nearly $300,000 (283,000 euros) on the day that Rio de Janeiro was awarded the 2016 Olympics.
The IOC will vote to award the 2024 Games at its meeting in Lima in September.
