Star actress Yvonne Nelson’s dad reportedly died on Monday but the actress has remained mute on the matter.
Her failure to speak on the matter or even pay tribute to her late father has set tongues wagging on social media.
But it will not come as a surprise if Yvonne fails to announce her father’s death, as she stated time and again that she felt no love for her man.
Yvonne has said that her father separated from her mum when she was a child and was not part of her life.
Her mother, she said, played the dual role of father and mother while she was growing up.
Last year, Yvonne told Nigeria’s Punch newspaper that she viewed her dad as any ordinary person.
“My dad was not a part of my life because he wasn’t there for me. So, I almost do not say anything about him because there is no relationship or love between us. My dad is like any other person out there because I didn’t have a chance to develop a relationship with him. We have each other’s phone numbers and he calls me when he feels like talking to me. It always feels like talking to a random person because there are absolutely no feelings whatsoever.”
She said she may not forgive him for not being part of her life.
“Sometimes our society makes it hard for us to talk about things like this. But, it’s my story and I don’t have any other way to say it and I don’t want to sugar-coat it. I don’t know, I may never. He was never a part of my life and it is quite unfortunate,” she said.
