CEO of Airtel Ghana, Lucy Quist has said that even though there has not been enough opportunities for Ghanaian women, the many activities lined up for the commemoration of International Women’s Day is an indication the country has made headway and things would get better as time goes on.
Madam Quist who was the Guest Speaker at ‘Goddesses of Art’ exhibition held at the premises of Horizons Offices (on the 8th floor of the One Airport Square building) said the only thing that hinders the development of women in general is their mindset adding, that if people could free their minds and open their minds to the possibility of achieving whatever they conceive, that would be the libation to achieving greater things.
Madam Quist said the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day #BEBOLDFORCHANGE resonates well with ‘Goddesses of Art’ exhibition especially because all the artists that were celebrated at the event were bold women who are using their art to change the world because majority of people have not encountered a lot of women belonging to the field.
The event was under the auspices of Geoplast Ghana, the country’s foremost name in supply and sales of formwork for construction and put together in collaboration with KingsCrown Media and Level 8.
