Musician Kwame Asare Obeng known affectionately called A Plus is teasing members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on social media over claims brother of former President John Dramani Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama has settled his indebtedness to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
According to him, members of the NDC are jubilating the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners (E&P) has settled arrears owed to the GRA thereby shaming all those who never wished him well.
But in response to their trolling , he said “”?koraa ya gye ye sika” to wit “after all we have taken our money”
The businessman on Friday presented two Stanbic Cheques valued at GH¢12 million from MBG Ltd and Holman Brothers to GRA being debt owed the GRA
This follows a two-week ultimatum by the GRA to pay the debt or risk having his assets confiscated by the State.
The amount represents duty for goods he cleared at the Tema Port with the said dud cheques in 2015 plus interest. The interest on the amount was worked by the Ghana Revenue Authority.
