Last year, Vanessa Gyan launched The Sincerely, Vee Foundation in which she promised to dedicate her time and resources to make an impact.
The tv/radio personality kicked off 2017 with an online campaign focused on raising awareness to kids with special needs with the hashtag KidsAreSpecial.
The Sincerely, Vee Foundation is dedicating the entire 2017 to bringing light to children with special needs. Daily on the their instagram page (_sincerelyvee_), facts about these incredible children are shared to increase human knowledge of who these children with special needs are and what is needed to help them.
In the upcoming weeks, Vanessa Gyan will auction off her beautiful black gown which caught the eyes of many at last year’s Glitz Style Awards.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to a school of the foundation’s choice. Vanessa and the SV Foundation team will also be raising extra funds to provide learning materials for the school.
People act as though children who suffer from autism, cerebral palsy, adhd and other special needs are some type of taboo and should be kept a part from society, especially on this side of the world but it’s the complete opposite.
These unique children just need extra attention and love. They should never feel as though they are an outcast,’ said Gyan.
‘I am elated to spend quality time with these special children who are so unique, creative, loving and who can change the lives of those who actually take the time to interact with them,’ Gyan continued.
