It appears the UK High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin has found something unique about Clement Ashitey popularly known as Clemento Suarez and will not head off until he witnesses an upcoming production which features the man touted as Ghana’s Best Comic Stage Actor!
Clemento Suarez who has starred in a number of plays including ‘Contagious’ and ‘Blue Black’ is set for another one this Saturday titled, ‘Prison Graduates’ which will be staged at the National Theatre.
Produced by April Communications Ltd, the political satirical play written by celebrated Ghanaian playwright, the late Efo Kodjo Mawugbe highlights situations in the country such as the ‘cash and carry’ system which is still operational, how young and energetic people pay huge sums of money to go abroad to seek greener pastures among others.
In a tweet, Jon Benjamin who will bring his service to an end in July this year, after serving three years in office, invited his followers to the production.

‘Prison Graduates’ features actor Adjetey Anang, Chapman and Oheneba Mensah- Bonsu and is directed by Fiifi Coleman. It shows at 7pm.
