It is throwback Thursday again, and this week we present to you Kpanlogo y3 d3 by Ghana’s former superpower music trio NAKOREX
The group consisted of Nat Brew, Akosua Agyapong and Rex Omar.
The trio had a mammoth fan base in the 1990’s and their brand of highlife appealed across all generation of Ghanaians.
NAKOREX had great energy and it was always a delight to watch them perform. The chemistry between Nat, Akosua and Rex was both organic and infectious.
Although the group is no more with each embarking on solo passions, their harmonious and melodic music is still much beloved.
The song kpanlogo y3 d3 remains evergreen and it is a delight to share with our audience.
Kpanlogo y3 d3 literally means Kpanlogo is sweet. With an incredibly well executed arraignment and a euphonious hook, the song is really a delight.
The song has several messages incorporated within it and the prominent ones being the need for harmony, a reverence of all that is the Ghanaian (African), a call to treasure relationships and an appreciation for all humanity.
Kpanlogo is indeed sweet. This is our land, these are our communities and we need to eschew divisive elements and work together for a better Ghana and Africa.
