The ever beautiful songwriter, singer and performer, Stephanie Benson, who sparked a lot of controversy with her see-through gown at the 2017 edition of the Ghana Music Honors has defended her choice of attire.
Speaking during a special Easter edition of 3FM’s mid-morning show Urban Blend with Miriam Osei-Agyemang, the ‘Good Feeling’ hit maker apportioned blame to the cameraman, who took shots of her private part.
She called it “unprofessional”. Asked whether she wore anything underneath her dress, she replied, “In that dress you cannot wear underwear; it doesn’t look good under there.
I didn’t tell the cameraman to turn the lights towards my private area. Why do you want to zoom into somebody’s ‘vay jay jay’, unless you want to see it”.
“I had five children through it so if you want to take pictures of it, that’s fine, I don’t mind; at least you know I have one,” she retorted.
According to her, she doesn’t see anything wrong with her outfit as she loves wearing clothes of that nature because it makes her feel good about herself and also complements her body.
She further on went to say that she didn’t understand why people were blaming her for it, noting the “flawless and gorgeous” gown was made by a prominent fashion designer.
“You think she’ll make a dress like that and have someone criticize the dress? Everybody wears that dress with nothing underneath, you can’t.”
On whether her family supports her when it comes to her fashion style, Stephanie answered affirmatively. Stephanie Benson is a former judge of the Vodafone Icons.
