For some reason(s), film producer, Socrate Safo is being touted for the position of Deputy Minister for the Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts sector as posters are already making rounds on whatsapp pages, groups and forums in that regard.
The said campaign is being championed by a group calling itself the Creative Artistes in Ghana.
This portal is investigating on the members who form this group and the reason (s) for this campaign.
It is not clear if the ‘Hot Fork’ filmmaker is the one behind the movement as he could not be reached to react to the campaign.
As a co-convener of the Creative Arts for Change (CAFC) – a pressure group from the creative arts that supported the President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, Socrate was instrumental in espousing an propagating the ideals of Nana Addo and the elements in the manifesto of the New Patriotic Party.
