The song ‘Taking over’ that has sparked massive controversy and grabbed the attention of several fans since its release couldn’t have been missed at the 2017 edition of the Ghana meets Naija concert.
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale together with his boys, Addi Self and Captan rocked the house with their performance of the hit song; ‘Taking over’. Patrons, relishing the act by the squad had a good enough reason to sing and dance along.
‘Taking over’, Shatta Wale’s banger song for 2017 has since its release in March received huge patronage from several Ghanaians and is making hit on several media airwaves.
One striking trait in the song is its “fascinating” wording that features the Ga and Hausa languages. Weeks after its release, questions were raised over the character “Sergeant Lee” who was cited in the song as having claimed to be in a “comfortable lead”. Speculations went rife suggesting his sworn rival Stonebwoy could be the individual he was talking about.
Stonebwoy however refuted the claims indicating that he had come across the name thrice in Shatta’s songs but knew nothing of who he was referring to.
It was a night of exceptionally sensational performances by various Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes who thrilled the house with their acts. Sponsored by Empire Entertainment, this year’s event held at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday seems to have lived up to the billing.
