Broadcaster Nana Aba Anamaoh has expressed her disappointment by the continuous refusal of the organizers of Ghana Music Awards to include Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale in the awards scheme.
She called the decision by events company CharterHouse “a travesty of justice” and petty.
“I’m completely disappointed that you have an organization that is rewarding musicians and because of such pettiness, Shatta Wale is not nominated,” said Anamoah during an interview with Berla Mundi on Rythmz on GhOneTV.
It is a travesty of justice. Its unheard of. I think CharterHouse must get over it. It’s about time they rose above it. it’s really unnecessary.”
She also applauded the ‘Ayoo‘ act for rising above negativity.
“I think he works hard, he doesn’t pay attention to the negative energy he is rising above all of them. I love Shatta Wale because despite the negative tags that people associate with Shatta Wale, he is rising above them, he is rising on the clouds. That is what I love about Shatta Wale. Everything he touches turns to gold.”
