It’s a brazen fact that the world’s richest musicians make their net worth predominantly from other business ventures aside music.
The product, music, serves as that catapult that surges them on onto bigger deals – www.entertainmentgh.com can state.
Speculations are rife that, Ghanaian dancehall great, Shatta Wale, is releasing unto the market, SM Bitters, the new alcoholic beverage that is generating all the talk.
He is said to be partnering one of the leading liquor production companies in the country for the venture.
When www.entertainmentgh.com reached out to the camp of the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker, they were not in a position to either deny or confirm the speculation as yet.
However, there are photos of the SM Bitters vans in town that have photos of what looks like the dancehall artist.
If the conjecture of the artist venturing into liquor business is true, then, he joins a legion of super stars who are in similar business and are succeeding in bounds.

Trey Songz
Recently, R&B superstar Trey Songz became the latest hitmaker to get into the spirits game by co-launching SX Liquors. The new brand is just starting to hit shelves across the country, already offering six different drinks (two tequilas, two rums, and two vodkas).
Songz is one of the biggest names in R&B (his last two albums went number one and he has 36 top 40 R&B hits to his name), and he’s looking to parlay that popularity into healthy sales for the new company.
Diddy
Diddy (or you may know him as P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, or simply Sean Combs) is becoming quite the expert in the spirits field. The rapper—though he hasn’t been doing too much of that lately—started Ciroc, his premium vodka several years ago, and since then it has become a big seller. He recently also founded a tequila brand named DeLeon, which is theoretically going to take market share from Patron.
Ne-Yo
The R&B/pop singer’s last album was heavily tied into a promotion with Malibu. Both his album and his new alcohol were named R. E.D., with the CD launching a top ten hit—“Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)”—and the drink being a blend of coconut rum and tequila
Jay Z
On top of being one of the world’s biggest (and most celebrated) hip-hop stars, Jay Z is also a brilliant businessman. His company Roc Nation represents everyone from singers to athletes, and now they have two alcohol brands under their wing. He now has a massive stake in Armand de Brignac, a champagne brand, as well as D’Ussé cognac.
Fergie
The Black Eyed Peas chanteuse found a company that was perfectly in line with her brand and snapped it up. Voli Light Vodka claims to be the world’s only light vodka, and if you’ve ever seen Fergie, you know that she probably does actually drink it.
50 Cent
He’s known for his hip-hop music, his eclectic movie and TV roles (with two more shows in the works) and even has his own line of boxers, but the latest venture for 50 Cent may be the most fun of all. The 40-year-old has recently partnered with EFFEN Vodka, which is produced in Holland.
