Representatives from Scratch Studios & Entertainment Limited in Accra will be attending this year’s edition of Marché International du Disque et de l’Edition Musicale (Midem) to be held in Cannes, France, from June 7 to 9, 2017.
This year, Scratch will be represented at Midem by Paa K. Holbrook-Smith, general manager and head of IT, Michael Bamfo and singer and songwriter on the Scratch label, Ssue.
The Scratch Studios stands at Midem will exhibit literature materials on Ghanaian music and tourism and will heavily promote music to the outside world.
“Our aim is to help Ghanaian and African music to grow internationally and we are happy we are making ample progress on that front,” Holdbrook-Smith said with pride.
This year’s edition of Midem is expected to attract thousands of musicians, producers, agents, managers, lawyers, executives, entrepreneurs and journalists from around the globe.
Bambwa and Black 2 music companies have also been invited Scratch Studios to participate in the upcoming event. Bambwa will be represented at the event by Marten Ohlin from Sweden, Kennedy Mensah from UK AND Allen Johnston from the States.
Scratch Studios has since 2013 produced a number of artistes and became the second company from Africa after South Africa to ever attend Midem.
At that event, Scratch was represented by CEO Kofi Amoakohene and Associate Director, Paa K. Holbrook-Smith.
