Grammy-nominated Ghanaian musician, Rocky Dawuni spent World Environment Day enjoying and appreciating nature with Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
The star, was among other noted international artists who were invited to observe the day, such as the UN Goodwill Ambassadors, actor Adrian Grenier (Entourage) , musician / surfer / activist Jack Johnson and UNEP Director Erik Solheim.
Celebrating nature, the artist met with the Canadian Prime Minister, and the Canadian Minister for Environment, Catherine Mckenna during the events in Niagara Lake, Ottawa, Toronto and Kingston.
Rocky, later tweeted a photo of himself and Minister Mckenna, stating it was a great moment and hashtagged it #WorldEnvironmentDay.
World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and it is the United Nation’s flagship policy to create awareness and encourage active participation in efforts to protect the environment.
The theme for 2017 is ‘Connecting People to Nature’ and Canada was the selected nation to host this year’s celebration of the day.
