Early this year, the first runner-up in the first edition of ‘Stars of the Future’ competition William Ramzy Amui, popularly known as Ramzy was released from the Nsawam prison after 10 years.
He was was incarcerated for robbery. Ramzy spoke to JOY NEWS about his time in prison and plans for the future.

The first runner-up in the first edition of ‘Stars of the Future’ competition William Ramzy Amui, popularly known as Ramzy whowas incarcerated for robbery has finally been released from the Nsawam prisons after 10 years.
Ramzy in August 2010 was handed a 10-year imprisonment with hard labour by the Tema High court presided over by Justice Peter Offei for his role in robbing a complainant of her 4×4 Toyota Highlander with registration number GT 6409X and an amount of GH¢300 at gun point.
The court found him and 7 of his accomplices guilty of charges of conspiracy, armed robbery and dishonesty receiving under Article 29, Clause 146 of the criminal code.
Ramzy who was the 8th accused, Francis Amuzu and Jerry Boampong together with others were consequently handed various jail terms cutting short his[Ramzy’s] dream of reaching stardom in his music exploits.
