A former head of the Association of Virgin Pastors, Apostle Job Antwi, has said his viral video has shot him to fame, and has made him a celebrity not only in Ghana, but in Nigeria and the United States, as he has been receiving calls from those countries.
Apostle Antwi, who says he broke his virginity on 29th October 2016 after his wedding, was the centre of attraction on social media about a month ago, when he shared the ‘exciting’ experience of his first sexual encounter on Accra-based Joy FM. The video of the apostle’s interview with Ruddy Kwakye went viral and earned him a nomination for Viasat1’s 2016 Jigwe Awards.
Speaking to Kokui Selormey and DKB on ‘This Morning’, the apostle, who seemed to have not recovered from the high sexual pleasure he was introduced to, claimed he is now very popular because of his video. He cited President John Dramani Mahama and President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo as two men who have benefited from his viral video, because it gives them stress relief.
Apostle Antwi also claimed his video was used to calm an angry wife after a fight with her husband. “After fighting, the man just showed my video to his wife, and she started laughing…she cooled down,” Apostle Antwi noted.
The man of God lauded his wife for being the architect of his ‘new life’ and explained why he loves his wife. He revealed that his wife trained him to perfect his sexual prowess. “The reason I love my wife is that she trained me to have sex. I broke my virginity on 29th October,” he said, adding that his wife is more experienced in sex because she had dated before.
Meanwhile, in a rather bizarre twist, a surprising-looking Counselor Lutterodt advised Apostle Antwi to appreciate the man who taught her to know how to have sex. Justifying his suggestion, the controversial counselor argued that if the apostle says his wife is as good as he claims, then another man is responsible for perfecting her skill, and therefore he (Apostle Antwi) should wrap a little present for the man.
Apostle Antwi, who didn’t pay any attention to the counselor’s advice, gave his own: “If you are a pastor, sex your wife well. God hates divorce.”
He also pleaded for public votes to help him win the award for Jigwe Viral Video of the Year. “I want the whole world to vote for me, because if they vote for me and I get the award, I will make them more happy. If they vote for me, the anointing will come more. I will let them feel more.”
Apostle Antwi is in stiff competition with Lil Win’s ‘I can’t tink far’ and Rashida’s ‘Malafaka’ for the Viral Video of the Year award. Both Lil Win and Rashida have confirmed they will be at the Jigwe Awards.
The Jigwe Awards comes off this Thursday, December 22 at the plush Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra at 7:00am.
On Twitter, fans can vote by tweeting the name and nominee together with the hashtag #JigweAwards2016, and can simply comment on the categories on Instagram and Facebook.
The 2016 Jigwe Awards will be LIVE on Viasat1 and will stream online via Viasat1 Facebook page. The dress code is African glam.
