Highlife musician Dada K. D. has alleged his life is in danger after he openly declared support for NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo.
An ardent supporter of the governing NDC in times past, Dada K.D. says moments after endorsing the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, he began receiving death threats.
Asked if he has been paid by the NPP flagbearer to help in his campaign, the ‘Ene me nye’ hitmaker said ‘’… How much will Nana pay me to leave my family from Germany, come down here and risk my life? I don’t want to talk about the things I’ve been going through since my endorsement of Nana…”
He says his decision to abandon the governing NDC for the NPP is due to the many failed promises by the NDC government under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
The highlife musician is one of several in the entertainment and creative arts industry who have come out to endorse the NPP Flagbearer ahead of this year’s general elections. They include Kwabena Kwabena, Appietus, Socrates Sarfo and A-Plus.
