Highlife artiste, Kwesi Pee, believes that, to some extent, Shatta Wale is right in requesting for money before granting interviews.
According to him, Shatta is self made. While the host of Atinka Showbiz, Odifour had a rebuttal to that; saying it’s the media personnel who aided in propelling him, Kwesi Pee disagreed.
He believes Radio and TV presenters did aid in a way, but Shatta Wale took to his his facebook wall in propelling the songs made Shatta Wale to become a house-hold name. And requesting to be paid before interviews is in the right order because of this.
However, he wasn’t in quite the same view as Shatta with the apology to Charter House and requesting to be considered in its award nominations. He explained his contrast in a simple scenario. To him, if you’re wronged by a person or an organization, you don’t go to the person or the organization to apologize but vice versa.
“If i’m to become the biggest artiste in Ghana and with all the actions Charter house has taken against me, i don’t see any reason why i’ll go to them and ask for anything”- he said. While this being my opinion to this matter, i do respect Shatta’s decision.
Kwesi Pee has released a new single titled Kyei Baffour, which he believes should sustain his fans for now and to help him keep up with the fleeting music era.
