Ghanaian hiplife/Afropop musician,Black KatGh has revealed that he is the one who initiated street freestyle rap music in Ashanti Region.
At this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs),Flowking Stone,a sensational artiste from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region won the best hiplife song of the year award with his ‘Go low hit song.
Answering a question in line with whether as an artist also from Kumasi in Ashanti Region he can overthrow Flowking Stone,Black KatGH delineated emphatically to Razzonline.com that,he initiated street freestyle rapping in the Ashanti Region that nurtured Flowkingstone ,thus overthrowing him as the next king of rap music is nothing to write home about:
“Flowking Stone is a great artiste…he has grown to become a matured musician and am happy he won the award with his hit song Go low at the VGMAs…to me i think it was long-overdue…But am the one who initiated street freestyle rapping which nurtured Flowking Stone,Cabum and most of the Kumasi rappers at my mothers bar at Asafo in Kumasi..I have worked with Lord Kenya so overthrowing him is not a big deal…i traveled out side the country(London) but am back and this time around its serious business”,Black KatGH quipped to Razzonline.com
