Veteran Akan Drama actor Kwame Peace known in real life Kwame Raynolds has disclosed that during his days as an actor with the popular ‘Obra’ Drama Series ‘Adasa’ Group, he was paid old Ten Thousand cedis (¢10,000.00) now One Ghana cedis for every episode he featured in.
In an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa, host of Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM, the former ‘Obra’ actor disclosed that he together with his colleague actors/actresses featured in the popular series without taking into consideration the amount to be paid but did that for the love of the job.
According to him, this has adversely affected his finances and has made things difficult for him as head of his family.
Meanwhile the actor has said that he’s struggling to make ends meet after thieves stole his Taxi which serves as a source of livelihood for his family.
Kwame Peace who started his acting profession around 1986/87 stated that he has since reported the matter to the Anyaa police station but to no avail.
