The fear of his daughters dating “irresponsible men” and possibly getting pregnant by them is making popular actor Lil Win dread the prospect of having a family with daughters.
And for a man who already has two sons, Kwabena Ampong Solomon (4) and Kwabena Adjei (2), there is no room for a female child.
According to the actor real name Kojo Nkansah, although he plans having about five children, the thoughts of men harassing his daughters has made him re-think having gender balance in his family.
“I can’t think of my daughters getting pregnant by some useless men. I know some guys will intentionally get them pregnant just because I am their father,” he told Showbiz in an interview.
However, in the unlikely event that his wife delivers a girl, Lil Win told Showbiz that he would be “very protective” of the daughter until she was ready for marriage.
“As a celebrity, Ghanaians would like to know how Lil Win’s daughters are doing, and I would prove my enemies wrong and show that I am one of the best fathers in the world. I would make sure she doesn’t lack anything so far as I am alive,” he said.
As an award-winning actor who has starred in perhaps the highest number of movies in recent years, Lil Win said his own humble upbringing has made him a better father and alive to his responsibility, including entertaining his children.
He explained that there was no point in earning a lot of money from acting and not providing the needs of his immediate family.
“What many people don’t know is that Lil Win comes from a very poor home. I want to make sure my children become better people in the society, hence the reason to provide for them whatever they need,” he added.
Being married to Patricia Afriyie, the mother of his two sons, has not stopped good-looking ladies from making advances at him.
And for Lil Win, he is amazed at how ladies approach him and ask him out on a date. “I know it is because of my fame and my money that is why those nice ladies are all over me,” he maintains.
