The 2016 election Campaign Coordinator of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams claims he’s never heard about popular Kumawood movie Star, Agya Koo.
The talented actor, paid a courtesy call on the New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at his Nima residence, today (September 22, 2016) to formally inform him of his decision to support his candidature for this year’s elections.
The award-winning actor at an earlier press conference held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, launched a 57% win campaign for Nana Akufo Addo. He asserted Ghanaians are faced with unprecedented precarious economic hardships which have consequently led to job losses and high unemployment rate, poor healthcare provision and cut-throat utility bills.
He disclosed that aside his movies which is currently not doing well as a result of the poor economic conditions, he is a parent and knows how expensive it is to give his children quality education in this country.
But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sem show, Thursday, Kofi Adams who’s also the National Organizer of the NDC stated that he’s not interested in Kumawood movies, saying the latter’s endorsement of the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo will not yield any substantial results.
“Who is Agya Koo and where is he? I’ve never heard of him. I don’t watch Kumawood movies. I prefer Shirley Frimpong Manso and John Dumelo’s movies.” Kofi said.
