Veteran Ghanaian musician and songwriter, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has revealed he is a full-time vegetarian because he believes the human teeth weren’t designed for meat hence the reason why he had chosen to keep up with his proud ‘vegetarian lifestyle’.
According to the Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, there is the need for everyone to feel more active to attain their purpose on this earth by taking care of their body as “a holy temple”.
Meat, he disclosed takes much longer to digest when aged as such he recommends the public to adhere to the ‘green vegetables’ to live longer.
“As you grow, your metabolism process weakens. So eating meat will take time to digest as such it will slow you down. If you want to be more active and strong with longer life then you need to eat more green vegetables and fruits…” he said.
“I am a full vegetarian and very happy about it. We don’t have fangs as human beings and as such our teeth weren’t designed for meat…the human teeth if were intended for chewing meat, would have emerged with fangs like that of the carnivorous creatures who solely depend on fresh meat for survival…,” he explained.
Mr Ambolley further maintained that including meat and eggs to your diet daily doesn’t deem you a rich individual like others think but rather likely to cause one to increase in weight and invite health issues.
“Some are like if you eat and you don’t have meat then you are poor. It is never true. It can even invite health problems to you. We have our teeth designed like that of the goat, sheep et cetera so let’s eat the green…” he urged during an interview on ADOM TV’s BADWAM show on the topic: Life as a Vegan.
