Gospel musicians Willie and Mike have disclosed that they were deported from Belgium when embarking on their first European tour years ago.
The group on Accra FM’s gospel entertainment show, Gospel 360 narrating how the hapless incident happened said their flight had to land in Brussels, Belgium instead of France due to a turbulence in Paris.
They said customs at the airport stopped them from boarding the next flight due to reasons they described as baseless.
According to Willie who gave the account, they spent three days at ‘counter back’ in Belgium without having access to their phones to contact relatives back home. He continued that they had to be deported and that also came with its own challenges.
Delineating their journey back home after the unfortunate incident that happened unexpectedly and unintentionally in the Western European country, he told the host, Andy Favoured that they were imprisoned when they arrived in Egypt.
