Ghanaians Have A Lot To Learn About Fashion

Actress Bibi Bright says Ghanaians still have a lot to learn when it comes to accepting what people, particularly celebrities, wear to events.

Bibi Bright was one of the ladies trolled on social media for their red-carpet outfit at this year’s Ghana Music Awards. She wore a jumpsuit that had a tail which social media fanatics compared to a fish.

But the actress told JoyNews’ MzGee, her profession as an actress called for a dramatic outfit.

“I love my dress, you know one thing that people do not understand is that, as an actress, I cannot come out on the red carpet and wear something that any person can open their wardrobe and take out and put on. If that happened, then I’m not an actress, I’m not an entertainer. I always have to have a certain kind of drama with everything I do,” she explained.

The actress, who is also the Secretary of the Creative Arts Council, revealed that the council was unaware of the Actors Guild elections.

The council is not aware of the elections even though the Creative Arts Council was created some months ago by Catherine Afeku, Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, to serve as a supervisory body to all organizations and associations in the industry, including the Ghana Actors Guild.
